She thinks that someone is following her to kill her. She is always haunted by her parents' memories of fighting. Her father is a heart surgeon with whom she is not comfortable talking. She suspects her father to be a murderer of her boyfriend in the high school, but does not have any proof to prove it.

Then we meet Toni Prescott and Alette Peters. They both work with Ashley at Global Computer Graphics. Toni is of British origin and she loves to sing. Whereas Alette prefers quiet weekends and is a good painter.

Ashley is invited by a guy who works in hardware to his apartment. Next thing we know is Ashley is some strange place naked. But this guy too is murdered and castrated the same way as her high school boyfriend. She does not files a complain thinking that her father had done it too.

When Ashley reaches home she finds a threatening message which she takes seriously and calls police. She asks the cop to stay with her. But she gets the shock of her life when the next morning she finds the policeman murdered and castrated.

The investigation begins of all the murders and found out that Ashley is the one who is responsible for all of them. Ashley is diagnosed with Multiple Personality disorder. Ashley, Toni and Alette are the same person. Story does not rest here. Her father finds a lawyer to take up the case. She is found suffering of Multiple Personality disorder and sent to sanitarium.

We are taken to the sanitarium where Ashley is under observation of doctors. After about a year it is found out that Ashley was sexually abused by her father in her childhood which developed other personalities. The details of the murders are discovered and eventually Ashley is cured.

Sidney Sheldon was rarely accused of writing great literature, but many of his works were wildly popular. He first became a published author at the age of ten, when his father, unbeknownst to Sheldon, submitted one of the boy's poems to Wee Wisdom magazine. He received five dollars in payment. In his youth he submitted several stories to Collier's and The Saturday Evening Post, but received only rejection slips. In his late teens, with a bottle of whisky and dozens of sleeping pills, Sheldon said he was just minutes from suicide when his father walked in, and talked him out of killing himself.

As a spy Percy can be seen as a forefather of James Bond and other espionage agents. The persecutor of the Scarlet Pimpernel is Citizen Chauvelin, an agent of Robespierre. Orczy's sympathies were shown clearly: she was suspicious of the "lower orders" and Pimpernel rescued the French nobility - sometimes others - only because he admired the nobility of all countries. Once Percy disguises himself as a Jew, thinking that the French despise Jews and do not ask questions. He also formed a band of helpers, Sir Andrew Ffoulkes, Lord Anthony Dewhurst, Lord Hastings, etc..Fantastic classic story i've ever read.

Baroness Emmuska Orczy was born in Tarna-Ors, Hungary, as the only daughter of Baron Felix Orczy, a noted composer and conductor, and his wife Emma.Orczy's first detective stories appeared in magazines. As a writer she became famous in 1903 with the stage version of the Scarlet Pimpernel. It was written with her husband - he co-authored two other plays, THE SIN OF WILLIAM JACKSON (1906), produced in London.

A body lies on the floor of the Crystal Church in Kiruna in Northern Sweden. The church is the home of the pentecostal cult The Source of All Our Strength, and the handless, sightless body is that of its principal inspiration, the Paradise Boy, Viktor Strandgard.

Stockholm tax lawyer Rebecka Martinsson gets a pleading phone call from the victim's sister Sanna, and she hurries home to Kiruna. Rebecka is very familiar with The Source of All Our Strength: she was once a member, and knew Viktor well. Rebecka's boss is not best pleased by her decision to fly to Sanna's help, but she has misunderstood his motives.

The police investigating team consists of the newly appointed Inspector Sven-Erik Stalnacke, the woman he is replacing, the very heavily pregnant, near-term Anna-Maria Mella, and pompous Assistant Chief Prosecutor Carl van Post.

Rebecka Martinnson left Kiruna under a cloud, the reasons for which are gradually revealed as the investigation unfolds. The management of the pentecostal church is not all it should be, and the dynamics that brought it growth and fame are also part of the factors undermining it.

I really enjoyed this book. Now am waiting to grab her next new novel "BLOOD SPILT"
which is yet to be released.

Continuation of IYWE

Last post we saw about verbs and nouns or pronouns. In this post we'll see clauses and relative pronouns in detail.

Clauses
A sentence that contains noun or pronoun and one finite verb.

*Conjunctions
Conjunctions are the words which link two parts of the sentence together. If more that one finite verb in a sentence, a conjunction is usually used.

EX: She was late for work she missed the train

After using conjunction the above sentence is
She missed the train so she was late for work.or She was late for work because she missed the train.

Conjunctions can be put at the beginning of a sentence also

Because she missed the train,she was late for work. If a conjunction is used at beginning it must be followed by two clauses with comma btw them.

EX: When her daughter came to stay, she put flowers in the spare room.

'AND' and 'BUT' should not be used at start of sentence.

EX: I waited for two hours but she did not come.
'OR' can also be used between two sentences.

Relative Pronouns

It's similar to function to conjuctions. They link dependent clauses to main clause and usually follow a noun.

They are the same words like interrogative pronouns:

EX: The house, which had once been beautiful,was now a ruin.

Other relative pronouns are: who,whose,whom,which,that.That can be either conjunction or a relative pronoun. It depends on how it's used.

Improve Your Written English

We all find it easy when we are asked to talk in English but when it comes to writing it. We find ourselves pretty awful state, coz we fear for grammar and spellings we make while writing it. I just don't waan take that chance, so i planned to do some exercises by reading this book called Improve Your Written English by Marion Field.


I am just going to put up the precise content of this book. I don't think so it would bore you all. After each of novel post you'll find this Grammar post.
I guess everybody is familiar with parts of speech, so let's got to

SENTENCE STRUCTURE

We know there are number of pronouns. In that some are singular and some are plural,coz of this we tend to make a mistake by using wrong verb with singular pronoun.

For Ex: Each of you have been given a pencil.

Each of you has been given a pencil.
Okay now which is right? no idea then read this.

The second ex is correct. 'Each' is a singular pronoun and therefore 'has' should be used as it refers to one person. You'll understand now if you read this following

Ex: She( 1 person) has a pencil.( singular )

They ( several ppl ) havebeen given pencil.( plural).

Likewise everyone, nobody, anything, somebody also comes under singular pronouns only.
Mistakes are often made with pronoun 'everyone'. Everyone is a word which includes( his/ her ) separately.

There are also collective nouns which takes up singular form of verbs.

Ex: The Government isplanning a new divorce bill.
Government is a singular noun, coz there's only one govt.

The Governments of France and England are both democratic.

Parker begins a search for answers that will lead him to a killer or the end of his career. Since, Parker very well knows that delivering the truth can be deadly in a town built on fantasy and fame. So read the book and find for what reason this Jace was chased and also why the Lenny Lowell's was killed.
